Why do we stand to sing?
“and the Levites . . . of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high”
II Chronicles 20:29
“After this I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; and cried with a loud voice, saying Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb”
Revelations 7:9-10
Why do we raise our hands in worship?
“Thus I will bless Thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in Thy name” Psalm 63:4
“Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord” Psalm 134:2
“I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting” I Timothy 2:8
Why do we have audible praise unto God?
“Bless the Lord oh my soul; and All that is within me bless His holy name”
Psalm 103:1
“And after these things, I heard a great voice of much people in heaven saying, Alleluia, salvation and glory and honor and power unto the Lord our God. . . Why do we have this type of worship?
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth” John 4:23-24
“For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh” Philippians 3:3
Why do we sing choruses as well as hymns?
“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” Ephesians 5:18-19
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” Colossians 3:16
Why are musical instruments a part of the worship service?
“Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the psaltery and harp. Praise Him with the trimbrel and dance. Praise Him with the stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: Praise him upon the high sounding cymbals”

Why does the whole church pray at once for specific needs? “And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice with one accord, and said, Lord, Thou art God, which hast made heaven and earth” Acts 4:24
What do you mean by “the anointing”? It is the presence and the work of the Holy Spirit in a person’s life.
“But the anointing which you have received of Him abideth in you . . .”

What do you mean by “to minister”? To serve or help another by the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
“… but our sufficiency is of God; who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament …” II Corinthians 3:5-6
What do you mean by “the glory”?
The manifestation of God’s presence and splendor to the spiritual and physical faculties of man.
“And it came to pass . . . that the cloud filled the house of the Lord, so that the priests could not stand to minister . . . for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord” I Kings 8:10-11
What do you mean by “revelation”?
The manifestation of God’s will and truths to man.
“Wherefore I also . . . making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him . . . ” Ephesians 1:15-17
